MEMORY CLINICS: ALCOHOL, SLEEP AND ANXIETY/DEPRESSION

MEM-ASA is a research project designed to study the prevalence of alcohol use disorder, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression in patients aged over 50 consulting the Memory clinics in Normandy and the Hospices Civils de Lyon.

The study has already included over 1,000 patients thanks to the involvement of the neuropsychologists working in Memory clinics. Data are routinely collected during the anamnesis (with specific and standardized questions on alcohol, sleep, anxiety and depression) and neuropsychological assessment (step 1). Questionnaires are also distributed at the end of consultations for completion at home and return in a pre-stamped envelope (step 2).
