Alcohol addiction

On Wednesday 15 March, the film Drunk was shown at the Lux cinema in Caen. A screening followed by a debate on the dangers of addictions and more particularly alcohol addiction.

It was an opportunity for us to discuss the issue of alcohol addiction, how it is characterized? What is it linked to? How can it be treated?

To answer these questions, we received Anne-Lise Pitel, a lecturer at the University of Caen, a specialist in cognitive disorders and brain damage in patients with alcohol use disorders, as well as Nicolas Cabé, a hospital practitioner in psychiatry and addictology at the Caen University Hospital.
